The Laser Technician position is responsible for performing maintenance activities related to troubleshooting and repair of Trumpf Laser equipment. The position is also responsible for maintaining laser fixtures according to the preventative maintenance schedule.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Basic knowledge and use of voltage meters, reading electrical schematics and measuring tools.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, troubleshooting and repair of production Laser machines.
  • Read and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments to fixturing for reliability.
  • Perform regular preventive daily maintenance on laser machines and associated equipment.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing, electrical and cleaning of laser fixturing.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience in automotive industry with emphasis on industrial related equipment.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk and hear
  • Employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
  • Moderate noise level
